Today many young, innocent lives were lost in a place where children are suppose to feel comfort and love. My emotions are overwhelmed thinking about the teachers, family, and friends going through this.
I look back on my day with my 22 second graders and think about how much I love them. Today was an exciting day for them as well as me. They completed their Charlotte's Web projects and shared them with excitement. We ate a pancake breakfast together and watched Charlotte's Web. I cannot even imagine life without one of my students.
Each one of those children were someone's whole world. Therefore I am going to continue to pray for their strength as well as the strength for schools around our nation, and for my classroom. I am going to thank God each and everyday for my students. I am so blessed to be a teacher. Words cannot express my love for my kiddos.

Currently-December
It's been a bit since I last blogged. This week I'm going to try to make up my time.
Over the last few weeks I have been busy and under the weather. I have had bronchitis, pluracy, and now a sinus infection. My wonderful babies are keeping me sick. I guess that is part of the first year of teaching! You gotta get your immune system built up.
Listening/Watching: I am watching Duck Dynasty. I love it! It's halirious, I actually laugh so hard my sides hurt. (Or maybe that is the pluracy, haha)
Loving: Timmy, my elf on the shelf at school. I love to see their eyes light up when they arrive in the morning. Timmy also keeps them in line, so their behavior is amazing!
Thinking: Please let it snow this winter season! I am ready for a wintery snow day where I stay in my pjs!
Wanting: Christmas Break to get here! I am so ready for life to slow down for a bit, and I am also ready to go to Denver!
Needing: to get back to the gym when I get over this sinus infection
Reading: I am starting a new bible study book, Unglued by Lysa Terkeurst. I am also finishing up The Last Baby Angel. Life has been so busy I haven't had time to read it much. It is great so far.

Hail State
Two weekends ago, Arkansas played Miss. State at Starkville, and the whole Chilton crew travelled to the game! The game ended being a big win for State. We ended the night with dinner and bowling. And I have to brag on myself...I dominated!

Happy Turkey Day!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends. Don't forgot to thank the big man upstairs. Say a prayer for those families that are hurting today. I pray for God to wrap his arms around them during this holiday season.

Color Run and Girls Weekend!
It was a girls weekend for me! School was out Friday, so I went with a few teachers to the Holiday House. I bought an adorable Santa Sign for my front door and a new teacher tote!
Holiday House got me in the Christmas spirit and I spent part of Saturday pulling out Christmas boxes and put up the tree! I used to have a rule growing up that Christmas music and trees do not go up until after Thanksgiving, but now that I have a home and a ton of decorating ideas I cannot contain myself! Christmas decor pics soon to come!
Saturday I spent the morning with my life-long friend, Jonica, where we participated in the Color Run in downtown LR! It was so much fun to complete the 5k and hang out with her!
Saturday afternoon and night I got to catch up with mom and Jen Pen because she was home since State was playing at LSU. I cannot wait for next weekend in Starkville. MSU plays Arkansas!

Listening/Watching: Pandora, Maroon 5 Station. I am in love with Adam from Maroon 5. He is on the Voice and I just stare at his beautiful face. Seth and I have a competition when we watch the Voice. He is team Blake and I am team Adam. If you watch the show you know that those two go at it all the time!

Loving: the colors of the leaves. I was doing a photo shoot the other day and saw the most beautiful yellow, canary tree.
Thinking: I feel like Superwoman! Between school, lesson plans, checklists, and home, cleaning the house, laundry, cooking, and editing photos I feel like superwoman. I realized last night that I don't even have kids and I'm already this busy!

Wanting: Elf on the Shelf for my classroom. I have never done Elf on the Shelf before and I really want to do it this year! I already have many lesson plan ideas and activities for my kids to do!
Needing: A mental-health day. I need a day to just drink coffee in my pajamas, read, and relax.
Reading: The Last Baby Angel, by Sam Calvin Brown. Sam is a local author from Benton. I went to school with his sister, and she and I both love to read. It is a reallllly great book. I will devote a whole post to this book soon and post a link where you can order it!
Have a wonderful day! GO VOTE!

Co-Teachers
I am blogging about my wonderful co-teachers! I wouldn't be afloat without them! I am so blessed to be at such a wonderful school with wonderful people and wonderful co-teachers.
I just made it through the first nine weeks and my first official parent teacher conferences and I have these three to thank for it! Thanks for all you do! You have no idea how much fun you make teaching for me! Have I mentioned before that I LOVE my job?
