The Reindeer Feed Store
I went back to my second grade class to visit during their Christmas party and set up a little "Reindeer Feed Store." The inspiration, of course, was from Pinterest. The kids made reindeer food, decorated Gingerbread men, played Christmas Bingo, and had some awesome cupcakes! It was so nice to see all the kids and their parents again!
I am sure I will do this activity with my future students during the holidays! Here is the link where I downloaded the reindeer food labels: http://www.thetomkatstudio.com/free-printables-reindeer-food-tags/

Graduation-Drury Class of 2011
It was a wonderful last day at Drury-COLLEGE GRADUATION! I completed my Bachelors of Art in Elementary Education with a minor in Global Perspectives. (A total of 143 hours in 3 years and-not too bad!) I received a call last week from a principal and I will be filling a maternity leave for a teacher in 4th grade! I cannot wait! Hopefully it will lead to a full teaching job for next fall. I want to thank my family and friends who supported me through this journey and now on to my masters!

Baby It's Cold Outside!
I listen to Christmas music constantly once Thanksgiving is over. I listen to Pandora in my car and at home. I just heard the Christmas song "Baby It's Cold Outside" and it makes me want to go back to Cabo San Lucas for the warm weather! Seth and I went to Cabo San Lucas this summer for our honeymoon! Of all the places I have travelled Cabo is one of the top 5. The weather was perfect. We stayed at all all-inclusive resort and had a great, relaxing time. Our favorite part of the trip was Lover's Beach, where we snorkeled. I cannot wait to go back for our 5 year anniversary!

Our Christmas Tree is complete!
We had so much fun shopping for the tree and its accessories. After looking around we decided on silver, gold, and brown themed tree. Seth was a trooper through all of this and he even helped put the ribbon on the tree. We put the tree up last week before the Thanksgiving holiday so I am a little late posting the pictures but life has been happening. Over the last two weeks I have finished up my student teaching in 2nd grade. My last day was so sad, but the kids were so sweet! They each wrote me a letter and then made a little book for me to have. I cannot believe that I am no longer going to see those kiddos everyday!
Thanksgiving holiday was so relaxing. We spent time with both of our families and ate too much food! I travelled to Memphis to see my mom's family. The girls all headed to Wal-Mart Thursday night at 9:00 to start the Black Friday festivities. We completed Wal-Mart, Target, and Old Navy. It was an adventure and it was completely worth it because I got almost all of my Christmas shopping completed and I bought outfits for our Christmas Angel that Seth and I adopted instead of doing gifts for each other. The last few weeks have been busy and it will only get busier from here. Now off to clean the apartment, study for the GRE, complete job applications, apply for grad school, wrap Christmas gifts, mail Christmas cards, and get ready for graduation!

Christmas Tree Coming Soon!
So I decided to skip decorating for Thanksgiving this year and go straight to Christmas. Thanks to everyone who got us giftcards for our wedding. We used part of them to go towards decorating and buying our first Christmas tree. My mom and I spent Friday night and all day Saturday at various shops including Pottery Barn, Pier 1, and Little Rock's Holiday House. I have a ton of new ornaments that are ready to go, but I have to wait for Seth to get home on Tuesday to go find a tree...the anticipation is going to kill me. I cannot wait to post our pictures of our first Christmas tree-coming soon!

Our Wedding July 30, 2011
Seth and I were married this July 30th and had the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding day was more than we ever imagined. Everyone involved in the process and ceremony had some type of relationship with us which made the day even more special. The day was stressfree and absolutely wonderful. The ceremony began at 6:00 at the First Presbyterian Church in Benton, AR. After the short ceremony the wedding party plus 300 guests partied it up at the reception at the Capital Hotel in Little Rock, AR. We cannot thank everyone enough for our wonderful, romantic, memorable wedding. Here are a few pictures...
